As we go through life, we may realize that FEAR has found its way into our mind, heart and spirit. Fear that relationships aren’t unfolding as we hoped, fear that we are not empowered to handle personal changes or challenges, fear from the past that still haunts us or fear of the future that keeps us from living in the present.
In essence, we may not feel very secure, powerful or hopeful.
In my 22 years of professional psychotherapy work, I carefully and respectfully explore these fears and their impact on your personal goals and healthy engagements with family, spouses/partners, friends and co-workers. We collaboratively build on your strengths, finding hope and resiliency in your empowerment and your love for self and others. We seek to develop a strong mind that serves you well in new behavior patterns leading to personal growth.
The 360-degree modality I practice engages the cognitive, emotional, physical, sexual, creative and spiritual components of personhood. I walk beside you, guiding you on your journey to eliminate or manage your fears using the best modalities of therapeutic practice that fits you.
TELE-HEALTH options are available via phone, FaceTime or Zoom in addition to office visits.
Anne Lee’s Specialized Areas of Therapeutic Work :
W O M E N
I have a long history of working with women of all ages and stages in areas of their personal growth and ‘Life in Transition’ goals. There are major life-stage changes and many minor types of transitions women find themselves moving through: high school, college, single life, break ups. career moves, marriage, divorce or separation, pregnancy and child-rearing, relocations, menopause, elder care-giving, major /chronic illnesses, or empty nest.
Through a collaborative effort, we build on the insights, strengths, talents and passions that each woman has within to recover and reclaim herself.
We strive to honor the balance of the mental, emotional, physical, creative, sexual and spiritual components of the complete woman. Together we look at any of the fears during these transitional times that may be presenting in:
disruptive moods such as depression, anxiety or anger
challenging relationships
grieving and loss
difficult personality traits
spiritual disillusionment
poor self-esteem
gender identity and expression
self harm or eating, drinking, drug use patterns
destructive thoughts, suicide ideation or attempts
obsessions and compulsions that are handicapping
I also focus on support for women who have had TRAUMA, VICTIMIZATION or EARLY CHILDHOOD ISSUES that may restrict current emotional and cognative health in a form of PTSD.
C O U P L E S
I specialize in working with couples in crisis that are unsure of their next step, as well as those couples or partnerships who just need a ‘thorough tune-up’ for their committed but currently stressful relationship.
We creatively—and even with some humor—get back on track with a plan and some tools that re-secure a couple’s EMOTIONAL SECURITY.
Marriage has many seasons and naturally many challenges to the needs of both partners. We often see these challenges play out in areas of :
communication
intimacy
infidelity
finances
child-rearing
role definitions and satisfaction
abuse patterns
health and addiction issues
second marriages
co-parenting
blended families
career shifts
returning adult children
retirement
elder care
